The year was 1981 and for the past 10 years Jerry had been selling industrial grade cleaning products. One day, while inquiring of an RV Dealer about any tough cleaning problems, Jerry was presented with a particularly difficult cleaning task.
The RV Dealer stated that one problem that had been plaguing him was how to remove black streaks on the outside of an RV when it came in off the road. Jerry told him that he had a product that would do the trick for him to which the RV Dealer replied; "I have heard that story so many times that frankly I am afraid to try again. Nothing anyone has ever shown me seems to work, but I am willing to give you a chance."
Presenting the dealer with 2 products to do the task, Jerry proceeded to demonstrate the first product which did just as he predicted. Concenred about the ease of use the RV Dealer asked if he had anything that was easier to use. The second product Jerry assured him was not only easy to use but would work fast. With skepticism the dealer watched as Jerry applied a small amount of his product to the streaks on an RV and just as quickly wiped it off. "WOW" exclaimed the dealer, "that is what I have been looking for" and with that Freedom Products was on there way to their first product.
